BASF Group announced its second-quarter and first-half 2025 results. Second-quarter sales reached €15.769 billion (approximately $18.4 billion), down 2.1% from €16.111 billion in the same period last year. Quarterly operating profit (EBIT) was €494 million, down 4.3% from €516 million year-on-year. Quarterly net profit was €79 million, down 81.6% from €430 million in the prior-year period. For the first half of the year, the company reported sales of €33.171 billion (approximately $38.7 billion), a 1.5% decrease year-on-year; operating profit of €1.69 billion, down 23.4% year-on-year; and net profit of €887 million, down 50.6% year-on-year.

LyondellBasell announced its Q2 2025 results. Quarterly sales and other revenues reached $7.658 billion, compared to $8.678 billion in the same period last year. Quarterly net profit was $115 million, compared to $924 million in the same period last year.

INEOS Group Holdings announced its Q2 2025 results. Quarterly revenue was €3.784 billion (approximately $4.41 billion), compared to €4.354 billion in the same period last year. Quarterly operating profit (EBIT) was €56.6 million, compared to €436 million in the same period last year. Quarterly loss for the period was €22.7 million, compared to a profit of €255 million in the same period last year.

Evonik Group announced its Q2 2025 results. Quarterly sales reached €3.499 billion (approximately $4.077 billion), compared to €3.93 billion in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA profit for the quarter was €509 million, compared to €578 million in the prior-year period. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was €120 million, compared to a net loss of €5 million in the prior-year period.

Covestro announced its Q2 2025 results. Quarterly sales reached €3.379 billion (approximately $3.938 billion), down 8.4% from €3.69 billion in the prior-year period. Henkel announced its second-quarter and first-half 2025 results. Second-quarter sales reached €5.16 billion, compared to €5.496 billion in the same period last year. Within this, Adhesive Technologies sales amounted to €2.701 billion (approximately $3.148 billion), compared to €2.798 billion in the prior-year period. Sales in the Consumer Brands business unit reached €2.422 billion, compared to €2.662 billion in the same period last year. For the first half of the year, the company's sales totaled €10.402 billion, compared to €10.813 billion in the same period last year. Adjusted operating profit was €1.614 billion, compared to €1.61 billion in the same period last year. Adjusted net profit was €217 million, down 38.4% year-on-year.

Borealis announced its first-half 2025 results. Total sales and other revenues for the period reached €4.211 billion (approximately $4.91 billion), compared to €3.935 billion in the same period last year. Operating profit stood at €58.16 million, down from €318 million year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was €209 million, compared to €297 million in the prior-year period.

Syensqo announced its second-quarter and first-half 2025 results. Second-quarter net sales reached €1.586 billion (approximately $1.848 billion), down 7.1% from €1.708 billion in the same period last year. Rongsheng Petrochemical announced revenue of RMB 148.629 billion (approximately USD 20.8 billion) for the first half of 2025, down 7.83% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 602 million, down 29.82% year-on-year.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) released its second-quarter and half-year financial results for 2025. Quarterly revenue reached SAR 35.57 billion (approximately $9.48 billion), with EBITDA profit of SAR 4.915 billion. Net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company was SAR 4.07 billion. Formosa Chemicals & Nuclear Corporation announced its Q2 2025 results. Toray Industries' consolidated financial results for April-June 2025 (under International Financial Reporting Standards) show a net profit of ¥17.1 billion, down 36% year-on-year. Functional chemicals—including separators, a key material for lithium batteries used in pure electric vehicles (EVs)—performed poorly.
