According to the latest customs statistics, China imported 25.2 tons of liquid chlorine in December 2025, marking a month-on-month increase of 65.2% and a year-on-year rise of 31.3%. The average import price stood at USD 14,968.4 per ton, reflecting a month-on-month decrease of 15.7% and a year-on-year decline of 14.3%. Cumulative imports of liquid chlorine from January to December 2025 totaled 185.3 tons, down 9.0% year-on-year. Cumulative exports during the same period amounted to 7.9 tons, a 72.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
China's liquid chlorine imports primarily utilize the general trade method, mainly sourced from Japan and South Korea. From January to December, imports from Japan totaled 152.6 tons, conducted via general trade and bonded supervision areas for goods entering and leaving the country. Imports from South Korea amounted to 32.7 tons, conducted through processing trade and bonded supervision areas for goods entering and leaving the country.
