According to the latest customs data, China imported 6,800 metric tons of propylene oxide in October 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 68.8%. The primary source region for imports was Thailand, accounting for 100.0% of the total with 6,800 metric tons. In October 2025, China exported 400 metric tons of propylene oxide, a year-on-year decrease of 90.9%. Major export destinations included India (200 metric tons, accounting for 52.1%) and Thailand (200 metric tons, accounting for 47.9%).
From an import-export perspective, from January to October 2025, China imported 107,300 metric tons of propylene oxide, a year-on-year decrease of 52.6%. Major import sources: Thailand 54,700 metric tons (51.0%); Saudi Arabia 24,700 metric tons (23.1%); United States 19,100 metric tons (17.8%). From January to October 2025, China exported 8,900 metric tons of propylene oxide, a year-on-year decrease of 31.1%. Export destinations included: South Korea (4,400 metric tons, 49.0% share); India (2,000 metric tons, 22.3% share); and Japan (1,500 metric tons, 16.7% share).
